In the Loop

Here is what’s going on at The Loft:
- Loft Information Center - Did you know that the only requirement for volunteering at The Loft Information Center is the enjoyment in visiting with others? Assistance is needed once a month to work either a Saturday evening or a shift on Sunday mornings. On the job training is provided! Stop by the Information Center this weekend to find out more.
- Student Missions - Support Student Missions by donating items for auction or sponsoring the golf tournament for the Student Missions Annual Golf Tournament and Auction on April 29-30. The funds raised at this event create local missions opportunities, support local outreach, and make global mission trips affordable for students. If you're interested in contributing or volunteering, go to www.rebelbaseonline.org.
- Lenten Study: Parables and Passion - Join us for a weekly co-ed study group, either Sundays from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. or Tuesdays, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. throughout the season of Lent. The study includes reflection on one parable each weekday. To register, go to: www.thewoodlandsumc.org/discipleship.
- DivorceCare - Are you separated or divorced? Are you looking for a place for you and your children to heal? If so, attend DivorceCare and DivorceCare 4 Kids (DC4K) on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Jones Library. For more info, contact Candy Randolph.
- Cancer Support - Immanuel's Light Cancer Support Ministries serves those with cancer, and their loved ones, by providing emotional, educational, social, and Christ-based spiritual support. All programs are free of charge. For more info, contact Candy Randolph.
- Children of The Woodlands - Children of The Woodlands Methodist Weekday School provides high quality early childhood education for toddlers through first grade, and proudly announces the addition of second grade for the upcoming school year. Registration for 2012-2013 classes will be Sunday, February 12 at 1:30 p.m. in Asbury Hall (main building) for TWUMC members. Families that are not members of TWUMC can register on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall (main building). For more information, call 281.297.5959 or visit www.thewoodlandsumc.org/preschool.
- Common Ground - If you are a single adult, grow in Christ through study and fellowship at Common Ground. This class meets on Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. in room D211 (main building). For more information, contact Terry Loughridge.
- Angels Guiding Teens - Be a mentor to either a student who has turned 18 and aged out of foster care or mentor a teen still in foster care. Take one of the Mentor Application packets and when signed and completed, return it to Sheryl Steely, Director of Family Life Ministry. Professional training follows application approval through our partnership with Angel Reach, CPS and PALS. For more information, contact Sheryl Steely.
