Here is what’s going on at The Loft:
- Backstage at The Loft - Find out more about The Loft and membership at our next Backstage event February 11-12 after every service in The Loft Worship Center.
- Concert at The Loft - John Mark McMillian will be appearing at The Loft Student Center along with special guest, The Robbie Seay Band on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Partial proceeds go towards Compassion International and Soles 4 Souls. Tickets are just $10 at the door or $5 with donation of gently worn shoes. Donate 25 pairs and receive 2 free admissions and be invited to a band "meet & greet"! Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
- Give 8: Young Adult Missions - Come join the Young Adults Ministry for eight weeks of risk-taking, front-lines mission work starting on Tuesday, February 7. Choose from four exciting projects: 1.) Tuesday Nights: Strip Club Ministry, 2.) Wednesday Nights: Homeless Street Outreach, 3.) Thursday Nights: Ministry with Inner City Kids, 4.) Saturdays: Rebuilding Homes in an Urban Neighborhood. - Loft Information Center - Did you know that the only requirement for volunteering at The Loft Information Center is the enjoyment in visiting with others? Assistance is needed once a month to work either a Saturday evening or a shift on Sunday mornings. On the job training is provided! Stop by the Information Center this weekend to find out more.
- Singles Valentine's Dinner and Dance - Let's celebrate the love of Christ together on Valentine's Day from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall (main campus) with dinner, dessert, and dancing. The dress is business casual/fun casual (no t-shirts or sweatshirts). The cost is $20. To register, go to: http://www.thewoodlandsumc.org/slm .
- DivorceCare - Are you separated or divorced? Are you looking for a place for you and your children to heal? If so, attend DivorceCare and DivorceCare 4 Kids (DC4K). Meetings begin January 25th at 7:00 p.m. in Jones Library. For more info, contact Candy Randolph.
- Cancer Support - Immanuel's Light Cancer Support Ministries serves those with cancer, and their loved ones, by providing emotional, educational, social, and Christ-based spiritual support. All programs are free of charge. For more info, contact Candy Randolph.
- Children of The Woodlands - Children of The Woodlands Methodist Weekday School provides high quality early childhood education for toddlers through first grade, and proudly announces the addition of second grade for the upcoming school year. Registration for 2012-2013 classes will be Sunday, February 12 at 1:30 p.m. in Asbury Hall (main building) for TWUMC members. Families that are not members of TWUMC can register on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall (main building). - Common Ground - If you are a single adult, grow in Christ through study and fellowship at Common Ground. This class meets on Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. in room D211 (main building). For more information, contact Terry Loughridge.
- Angels Guiding Teens - Be a mentor to either a student who has turned 18 and aged out of foster care or mentor a teen still in foster care. Take one of the Mentor Application packets and when signed and completed, return it to Sheryl Steely, Director of Family Life Ministry. Professional training follows application approval through our partnership with Angel Reach, CPS and PALS. For more information, contact Sheryl Steely.
